Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
I’ll say I made good use of the first long weekend of the summer. Sure, I didn’t travel anywhere far, but it was an active and fun weekend nonetheless.
Shwu was in town for the weekend, so I invited everyone up to Waterloo for a BBQ. BBQ is great when it comes to cooking for a group. Just need a few burger patties, wings, tossed salad, grill veggies, and you’re set. Afterwards we played a game of Cranium, Canadian Edition. The questions about songs sucked, as most of us have never heard of the song, or even the artist. Mike couldn’t impersonate Harry Potter. It was sad.

Sunday, we headed up to Port Elgin, near Sauble Beach, Owen Sound area. Ishan works at some plant there, and rented a pretty spacious vacation place to sleep during the week. The house was from the late 1800’s. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at such an old house before. People to go Port Elgin for the beach, so it was unfortunate the temperate that day hovered below 10. It was fricking cold near the water, we could see our breaths. We ended up mostly bumming around and generally being silly. We were able to play soccer, catch, and basketball with just a soccer ball and hackey sack.
Another highlight of the day was to see Mike’s CAA membership at work. Chu locked his keys in his Acura, and we had to call CAA to come resue us. I was very impressed with the response time of 15 min to such a middle of nowhere place as Port Elgin. But I guess being beach county and all, the guy prolly lives in town. It was also surprisingly easy to unlock the car, considering it was a 2006 Acura CSX, security system be damned.

I was pretty conflicted on Monday trying to decide between a day at the beach or rush back to Stratford to watch Merchant of Venice. Jerry got free tickets for the Victoria Day matinee show, but the weather finally warmed up on Monday in Port Elgin. So it’s either ditch Jerry to spend a day at the beach, or head indoors on such a beautiful to watch Shakespeare. But Mike prevailed and we headed to Stratford.
The play itself was pretty good, perhaps because I never studied it in school, and it also wasn’t a tragedy. Afterwards, we walked around town taking photos of swans, and had poutine for dinner.

Yes, you might have noticed that I’ve been putting all my social photos up on Facebook now instead of Flickr. They get more exposure this way.
Oh, and we decided on a car… Gas is bloody expensive!
What car is that? Is that why you’re poor?
Finally decided on the B. Annoyed that only the 08 model comes standard with aux jack.
you got a beamer.... lol
No, the other b car.
Benz. Bentley. Bolls-Boyce.
Somehow, I can’t see myself in a Bentley or a Royce. Then I’ll need a real chauffeur!
