Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
I can’t really recall what happened in September except that it’s suddenly over. I think I’ve mostly been super busy at work. Spent like one week using the elliptical, and then stopped cause Nelson’s back and he won’t go upstairs to play the wii anymore cause our wireless router busted, and it seems so rude to be huffing and puffing in someone’s room…
There was Mike’s cousin’s wedding at the Hart House at UT the weekend after Labour Day.
Saw Cirque Du Soleil’s KOOZA in Toronto. They set the tent up at like the docklands at the end of Cherry Street on the east side of downtown. Nobody seem to know they were in town, hence we were able to take advantage of their student promotion. It was magnitudes better than Cirque Niagara. The tent was fairly small, so even the worse seats of the house still offered good views. (We were moved to better seats though, closer to the front). I’ve decided that the next time I’m in Vegas, I will definitely go to see one of their permanent shows.
Yesterday was also the company golf day. It’s an annual event, and it’s the only time I golf. I think I’ve had it though, and want to take golfing lessons. I mean, it hurts when I miss, and it hurts when I connect. I am sore all over the next day. This can’t go on! I’m hoping to take intro lessons at the Waterloo Golf Academy next season. Anyone interested in joining me for group lessons??
Next week, I’m off on vacation! Yay vacation! Caribbean cruise with the family for a week. Don’t know too much details as my mom planned everything, but will be visiting points in Haita, Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico. Never been on a cruise before, should be interesting. I like the idea that you are actually doing the traveling while you are sleeping, but one day does not seem enough to be spending at each location.
I’m going to be in so much trouble after the cruise though, it’s like a buffet every day. Poor Mike, he’s left at home to fend for himself, ie starve. I told him to think about me and all the yummy food I’ll be having as he scrapes the bottom of the single can of corn beef that is his ration for the whole week. I mean, I had dinner included in my golf day right. I asked him what he had for dinner. He said “salsa crackers”.
Oh and they painted the Giant Marshmallow green!!
Green mushmellow, HA HA, to match the grass?
I’ve been meaning to sign up for golf lessons too, so we can go next year. I even hit the driving range couple times (and still can’t hit those tiny darn balls)
My Tiger Woods Wii is arriving soon, wonder if it helps at all. I have Tiger Woods for DS Lite too
I haven’t even played the new Wii games I got - got Strikers, MP8 for $15 each!!
Yes, probably to match the grass. Though really, short of doing trompe-l’oeil on that thing, any colour will look bad. White was probably best.
Maybe you swing too hard, Muggets. Golf isn’t about swinging, it’s about moving your weight. At least that’s my understanding. If Jay had still been around I’m sure he would have been all over taking lessons with you.
At least, he was all over golf when we were dating..
Ha, that green does not match the grass. It was actually just a base coat (thank god!), and now it’s being repainted this shiny new white.
Yup, hence lessons! Golf on Wii is way easier!
