Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
With the warm, sunny weather, I spent quite a bit of my time outside over the Easter Weekend. Friday, got together with Cass and Em and basically hung out all day, with lunch, exploring Centennial Park, two quick games of bowling, and then a movie. Saturday, took the two dogs for a walk and took lots of Tobey photos. Sunday, went around the Distillery District with Mike. I’ll talk about that when I upload those photos.
Cass, Em, and Lairon lives near Centennial Park, and seems to have grown up going there. I’ve personally never been until last Friday. It was a rather overcast day, so we made good use of the sunny break to wander around the park. It’s pretty big, with lots of empty space. There is a nice hill in the middle built on top of a garbage dump that doubles as a ski hill in the winter. It looks more like a fun toboggan hill. There’s a disc golf course there as well, and we actually saw some people playing. Doesn’t look that exciting, but it’s something I’ll want to try some day.
The greenhouse is pretty nice, they had a special, breezy room full of colourful spring flowers, perfect for Easter. It’s too bad they are closing the greenhouse all summer to upgrade the ventilation system. I guess you can only enjoy the flowers planted on the outside this summer.
