Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
Man, things just gets better and better. The glass top on our stove cracked yesterday. Not like we dropped anything on it either, no, all Mike did was put a hot lid down on it, and bam! Cracked into four pieces. The repair guy came to inspect it today, and will need to get a replacement top shipped in. So no stovetop cooking for at least a week, cause it’s very rare that this happens. I’ve personally never heard of anyone having their flat tops break before. Why do we always get the dud?
I mean, the stove is not even two years old! Parts are covered for five years at least, but labour is extra. We were quoted at $520 to get a replacement top. I think the stove cost that much now. They might as well give us the $500 and we’ll get a new stove!
Urgh, so now I’m limited to cooking with just the oven, microwave, toaster oven, rice cooker, and slow cooker. I left all my hotpot stoves in Brampton, but if the going gets tough, there’s always the flaming camp stove.
For dinner, I used the rice cooker to steam broccoli, and then the oven to make pita broccoli melt. ...And started a giant vat of chili for the slow cooker. Hopefully we’ll survive the week.
Sigh, it’s not even safe to stay home and hide from my bad luck this year.
Slowly uploading photos from Hong Kong.

You need hotpot!
ouch, $520? I am sure you can almost get a new stovetop and sell your broken one for some money
Cooking food without a stovetop surely sounds fun. Ironically I haven’t used my stove this week at all (fast food & leftover thus far)
Fingers crossed on the end of all the bad luck for this year because honestly I can’t take anymore
