Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
I’m tired. Haven’t been up to much lately, just games and reading. Snow is nice, but cold.
Still playing with the Wii, but haven’t picked up Tetris much at all these days. Zelda is pretty good, Rayman Raving Rabbits have a nice collection of fun mini-games, much better than Monkey Balls. I suck at the Monkey Ball games, as I have trouble mastering the controls. Too often, we have no idea how to play the games.
Finished reading the Vorkosigan series, all books, short stories, and what have you. Thinking of taking a break from Bujold’s books for a while, and leave her fantasy stuff for a bit later.
Maybe now I can get back to the mood of actually doing work.
Been leafing through the KW activities guide. They have a club called “Conestoga Mall Walkers”, fee of $4 a year. Is that like, a group of people that gather to walk around the mall once a week? And you have to PAY to do so? Just… Why??
Went back to King Crab the other day for dinner, first time we were there was for Valentine’s Day. Food was much better back then, but this time, so very disappointing. Had the Salmon Wellington (slab of salmon wrapped in pastry shell), the fish was tasteless, the cheese was too heavy, and it did not go with rice at all. The veggies, whatever they were, were also bland, hard, and tasteless. Mike’s Lobster Risotto was watery, and too heavy. The lobster tails tasted funny. If my company wasn’t footing half the bill, I would have been quite annoyed. Maybe you just shouldn’t go to these types of restaurants on a Wednesday evening, as there were barely any patrons when we were there, and we were also the last table to leave. Though frankly, I don’t think I’ll be going back unless someone else planned it.
Sigh, don’t feel like cooking much nowadays, and there’s no place good to eat out. Sick of the usual places. I think I’ll just not eat.
So tired. So lifeless.
