Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
So another failed shopping trip this weekend to Niagara Falls. The snowboard bag I wanted that was on sale there turned out to be really really old, and it was huge. It’s a “Flow” bag alright, but “Flow Systems”?? Was that what Flow used to be called? Who knows.. The store itself was advertising 50% off their inventory, but the inventory is pretty old and cheap. Then checked out Canada One Factory Outlet. Heartland is bigger.. Got two tshirts. Yay!
Went to check out the falls. I don’t think I’ve been there since first or second year. Mike bumped into his cousin while shopping, who informed him that the new casino has free parking if you signed up for their advantage card. And so we did, and got $2 off their dinner buffet as well ($20 after).
The Niagara Fallsview Casino was nothing special. It’s cleaner I guess since it opened in 2004. I think once you’ve been to Vegas, you are forever corrupted. I was surprised they allowed smoking in there.. didn’t they ban smoking in bars? Oh, and apparently Canada do not allow casinos to serve free alcohol. Boo!
Walked around the area, up Clifton Hill, etc, big loop, all tired. It was cold enough to have slushy snow, but not cold enough to have the frozen sheet of ice to cover everything. I have not experienced that since my first time at the falls, back when I was 7 and we just immigrated here.. Wonder if they even have that anymore.. Blah blah blah, I really need to condense my entries more..
