Tidbits

  • Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…

  • A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles.  I wanna play!

  • Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places.  2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.

  • A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…

  • An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies.  I smell a lawsuit.

  • Will trade beer for Crumpler bags.  Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…

New Humble Abode

May 29, 2006, 4:08 am

Moved into the new house this weekend. Recruited a bunch of male movers that made the going a lot easier. It was all family anyways, me and my bro, Mike and his bro (and dad), Jerry and his bro. It was funny, our younger siblings had no idea how all the other people were related, I guess the family resemblances are not that strong. There’s not much getting used to needed for the new place, since the size of the townhouse is almost the same as the apartment. The kitchen is arranged almost exactly like the old place, as is the bedroom. Mostly the bedroom and living room left to unpacked, but with good reason. Can’t unpack close cause we are seriously lacking in closet space. Can’t move the living room furniture around until the basement carpet get stretched, and we no longer have a tv stand, it being a casualty of the move. Once the inside of the house is straightened out, then have to deal with the outside. Garage floor needs to be washed, deck have to be re-coated, and a backyard full of freakin’ dandelions to weed.

Missing the garbage chute, giant recycling bins, and lack of insect life of apartment living already. But at least we have AC.
