Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
Don’t want to miss my chance of posting on this special date. Would have been better if I did this at 6:06 pm, but I was still working, and 6:06 am is out of the question. The gas guy came this morning to install our dryer, so we can finally wash our clothes now. Mike spent the whole night in the basement watching is new washing machine at work, he even bought down a stool. Sniff, I’m no longer special! *sob!*
I’m guess I’m pretty settled in the new house now. Spent like $1000 last weekend getting more things for the house, such as a BBQ and lawn mower. Our backyard is freakin’ large. Takes an hour to do both the front and back. Still lacking in patio furniture, which we don’t plan on getting anytime soon. Harder to entertain people this way, but at least we have a BBQ now. We really don’t have enough chairs and tables at all, though it really depends on how many people would want to go to Waterloo. Jerry seems to want to do a house warming party at his place though, so I’ll let him organize first.
Other than that, nothing much else is new, hence the lack of updates. Still haven’t uploaded the Ottawa photos yet. There was a company sponsored Barenaked Ladies concert last week, it was pretty fun. Our founder’s first company had Our Lady Peace up, which I would have preferred, and said so on my MSN. And the CEO called me up on it after the concert! Asked me if “I still prefer OLP”, and I was all confused. I have to admit, they do seem more entertaining, and they had a lot of songs I didn’t know was by them. I don’t think I’m the concert-going type, as I value my hearing too much.
This weekend, heading up to a rental cottage for a high school reunion. The place apparently fits 14 people. I guess we’ve become more sophisticated since our foolish froshie days, with our booze collection consisting of a couple bottles of “red and white”.
