Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
What’s up with the weather? First it dumps snow, then it froze, then it RAINS. I can’t imagine Blue Mountain right now, all this snow, but way too cold to enjoy it, and then suddenly, in the middle of the long weekend, it rains! Yup, definitely won’t be going skiing locally any time soon.
So to put the amount of snow into perspective:
You can now climb our cul-de-sac island.
Besides the shoveling and catching colds, the other really bad thing about this winter is what it did to our roads. Potholes, potholes everywhere, even on the 401!
I think it was going over a massive one on the highway that we lost one of the hubcaps on Mr B. It was a really nasty bump, and immediately afterwards, the doors automatically unlocked. We had no idea what that meant, until we got to our destination and noticed the missing hubcap. Poor Mr B, he looks so naked now. It’s not inspiring much confidence in Benz quality, if a hubcap can just pop off like that (I mean, Mr Civic went over a really nasty pothole as well, and the noise it made, I thought we lost the bumper, or a door or something, but afterwards, everything was still accounted for...) . A replacement is gonna be like $60 too, I wonder if we can negotiate for a complementary or at least discounted replacement…
We tried to look for it on the way back to Waterloo, but the weather was all wet and foggy, and I think they’ve patched up that giant hole overnight, cause we never did find it. I believe it was on the right side of the slow lane, Eastbound, between Trafalgar and Winston Churchill. Let me know if you see it on the side of the road!
