Tidbits

  • Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…

  • A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles.  I wanna play!

  • Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places.  2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.

  • A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…

  • An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies.  I smell a lawsuit.

  • Will trade beer for Crumpler bags.  Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…

Maggie’s a voter!

January 24, 2006, 1:24 am

It’s all Mike’s fault. He went after work, and since I happened to have my Hydro bill with me, which had my Waterloo address on it, I figured, why not? I can’t help feeling that the voting system is so archaic. You actually get a piece of paper and a pencil to mark off your choice. The candidates for the K-W region is limited, I was rather looking forward to ticking the “Animal Alliance Environment Voters Party of Canada” or the “Marijuana Party”. And then I thought numbering each option like the Coop ranking form, with 1.5 for my second choice. No, Maggie does not take voting very seriously indeed. Maggie has also developed the habit of talking about herself in the third person.

Site Update

In other news, still a big learning curve before I can start coding the site. Lots of ideas, but not enough time. Hence, going to stick with a static HTML page for now. It’s all good, cause if I go and install a blogging program, that’ll be the end of this whole redesign thing. I’m lazy that way. One single file. And the css is messed up. Oh well. Just needed a place to post my thoughts. Sure, my old site still work on my own computer, but there’s the fun in that?
