Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
Well winter decended on us in shocking speed. Waterloo was covered in snow since last weekend, whereas the rest of the GTA only had problems a few days ago. My parents flew back from their China/HK trip today, and was not pleased by the sudden cold weather. When they left over three weeks ago, it was still pretty mild out. Saw their trip photos, I’m jealous! Those places look so fun!
On the work-front, went to the Sandvine holiday party at Waterloo Inn last Friday. The food was ok, buffet-style, but lacking in choices. They also tried this comedy-murder mystery thing, telling us that our company is changing ownership because our CEO lost the company in a poker game. We were late so missed most of that speech. We walked in to see a guy passed out at a table right by the door and this total stranger giving a speech to the crowd. We thought we were at the wrong party… They gave us a poker set, with decent weigh clay chips. I am pleased, as I almost got my own set from the food warehouse place for $30..
So the “dead” guy was supposed to have been poisoned by potassium cyanide, and you know you’ve watched too much movies when your immediate thoughts were: humph, he really should have had blue discolouring then, for severe cyanide poisoning…
Chinese brush painting is wrapping up on Monday, four classes already.. Wow. Dunno if I have much to show for it, but it was fun. I think I need to get more instruction books if I want to get more into it. I think I like fishes and landscapes. Not that fond of flowers..
