Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
We had one annoying winter this year, with snow followed by rain followed by snow. Really bad for skiing locally, so it seems rather odd that we went on the most ski trips this season. We didn’t luck out on any real powder days, but being outside with the sun and blue skies is not that shabby either.
Other than skiing, things have been pretty uneventful. Got some new furniture so have to rearrange our room. I did not know that a Queen-sized bed is actually longer than a Double, and that a Double can really just fit people under 5’5” comfortably. Lucky us I guess.
I’ve also been watching a lot of television lately. I’ve given up on most of the old shows I was following, and started watching a bunch of new ones. Burn Notice was unexpectedly entertaining and addictive. Lie to Me is also pretty good. The Mentalist, meh, not that great. Dollhouse is just okay, even though it has Joss Whedon’s style all over it, it doesn’t quite have that hook.
Another show I find myself liking recently is The Listener. The premise and everything is so cheesy, but it’s actually filmed and SET in Toronto. Shows and movies are filmed in Toronto all the time, but it’s always Toronto pretending to be somewhere else. This show though, actually takes place in Toronto. And they would make frequent references to familiar street names, cities, places (the “905 gang”, hehehe). I don’t know why that amuses me so much, I wonder if people who are from Miami or Vegas get the same kick when they are watching Dexter or CSI.
