Tidbits

  • Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…

  • A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles.  I wanna play!

  • Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places.  2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.

  • A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…

  • An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies.  I smell a lawsuit.

  • Will trade beer for Crumpler bags.  Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…

Is it Plugged in?

July 17, 2006, 2:11 am

Yup, owning a house is expensive. $95 was the cost of this question. Mike noticed our AC not working, it was humming but the fan wasn’t working, so he called in a tech. The consultation fee itself is $95, with any repairs being extra. Basically we learned that there was TWO power lines going into the AC unit, and one was off. Hence, flipping the breaker have our unit in happy working order. I swear, we can save a lot of money by learning about simple house maintenance problems. Also, we have a rental water heater and water softener, both of which do not have our address on their account. Here’s hoping for free rent!
