Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
Been rather listless and depressed of late, not really in the mood to do anything. But looking to be keeping myself busy for the month of September.
First, I’ve signed up for Mandarin classes with the Confucius Institute at UW. I’m basically going to start at the very beginning, 101, if you will. Get the basics of pronunciation right. Mike, the ambitious one, is taking level 4, essentially, the most advanced course they are offering this term. We also taking their Chinese Calligraphy and Painting course too. We’ll see how much calligraphy we actually get to do, and how much the painting would be like the other course we took before.
Secondly, Mike’s next goal is to turn our basement into our own personal gym. Well technically, we just have an elliptical, some free weights, an exercise ball (which I’ve been using as my computer chair once in a while), and that’s about it. How he has grand plans to get a cheap LCD monitor and a wall mount so we can watch stuff off Mr Server while we...ellipt. I tried using my ipod video, but it makes my eyes/head uncomfortable.
And sadly, I am in need of exercise, been too lazy the last two years. I’ve been out shopping for an evening dress for the Caribbean cruise at the end of this month, and for attending Mike’s cousin’s wedding this weekend. Dress shopping is such a chore! Hard to find a style that I actually like, and sigh, a style I can actually wear. Such a depressing process.
House? Mercedes Benz? Caribbean cruise? Wow, you and Mike are living it up
Yeah, finding a style one likes is difficult..
but something you can wear? Far as I could tell, you have a shapely enough body .. you certainly haven’t got my flat-chest problem.
Did you finally find something nice?
Oh there’s other issues besides the chest area… I have fairly broad shoulders and most dresses are not designed for that. Secondly, it’s also difficult finding a style that can hide the result of gorging myself on the yummy formal food…
Ah, yes, shoulders are a problem. I guess you better not start swimming or working out your upper body, cuz it’ll get worse.
...hmm, I guess that’s true. I have to admit I’ve never worried about that, but I suppose perhaps one should.
