Tidbits

  • Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…

  • A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles.  I wanna play!

  • Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places.  2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.

  • A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…

  • An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies.  I smell a lawsuit.

  • Will trade beer for Crumpler bags.  Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…

Consumerism Consumes…

November 27, 2005, 6:13 am

20% off coupons are evil. Even though you don’t really need stuff, you go and buy something just because you can get around 5% off something nice (15% of the coupon goes to tax). Yup, did more shopping at Linens n’Things today. For an hour, so I can get home around 1 pm to wait for my parents to call to pick them up from their 1:30 flight.. Yes, cutting it a bit close, but their flight was delayed until 4:30 anyways… So I’m now a proud owner of a 400 thread count sheet set. Go me.

Arbor Stance 05 Milk Frother

Three packages arrived for me this week as well. Two by way of Mike Ma that included my snowboard, areoLatte milk frother, and set of four Henckels steak knives (those things are sharpened on BOTH edges).. The reminding package was a new HD enclosure for my brother that hopefully won’t fry the hard drive, and a 128MB TransFlash card for my phone. From tigerdirect.ca. Even though it’s a Canadian company, it sent me stuff from UPS worldwide from IL. Paying for shipping sucks.

And my parents brought back goodies from their China trip, but my brother got the tech toys. He got a new Casio G-Shock watch that’s similar to mine, and a new cellphone, the Motorola V226. It’s their latest low end flip phone. The thing connects to your computer via your regular mini-usb cable, but you need to purchase the driver CD for it separately. So annoying.. I got a chinese brush set, ink, and grinding stone.

And tomorrow (guess later today), will be heading up to Niagara Falls to check out snowboard bags, cause we have a great deal with dcevents. We’ll see.. Glad I don’t really need to save up for anything…
