Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
Went to the “Play with Clay” day at the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery in Uptown Waterloo today. They usually host the session on a Sunday, once a month. You pay $5, and play with a lump of clay for 3 hours, doing whatever you want. Then they fire it for you, and you can come back in the next session to paint and glaze it. The $5 is sort of a sit-in fee I guess, you basically do whatever you want in that time, use as much clay as you want, do as many projects, etc. There was a lot of families with little kids there. I guess this is also what the locals do.
I think the last time I played with clay was in high school for art. Wouldn’t hurt to look up some basic techniques to try for later. I want to try the wheel clay thingie, but I’m sure I’ll have to pay for lessons to use that…
