Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
So I’ve posted a while back about the contest for dual-booting Windows on the new Intel Macbooks, which someone did managed to do eventually, except for the graphic drivers. Of course, it seems like Apple caught wind of the idea, and decided to make it official. Enter Boot Camp, a public software that allows Intel-based Macs to run Windows XP, which will be included in the next version of Mac OS.
I guess considering how mainstream the iPod is, it’s no big surprise that Apple decided to support running Windows on their exclusive boxes. It’s all about the money, and this move will definitely sell more Macs. Heck, I’ll buy one! I’ve had my Fujitsu notebook since summer 2003, the hard drive is too slow and too small. It’s getting harder and harder to develop and do graphic work on it. Time to upgrade!
Of course, I’m going to be dirt poor by the time May rolls around. The offer on the house finalized last Tuesday, after some more drama, and our closing date is now May 26th, the last Friday of May. Basically we had our house inspection on Monday, and the inspector noticed a potential weakness in the foundation that needed to be fixed before it becomes a crack. This should be the seller’s responsibility to fix it up. The seller’s agent told us that they refused to fix it Tuesday morning, the day in which our offer expires if our conditions are not met. We even went so far as to look at a couple more houses on Beaver Creek, and saw one that was also quite nice. It’s located much closer to the University, and it has two bedrooms in the basement, prefect for renting out. Only it was listed on that day, and already had three offers on it. Anyways, we gave the seller’s agent until 9 pm to decide, and that evening they signed the papers saying they will fix it. So now we can’t back out it anymore. Sigh, buying a house is so stressful.
So last Wednesday was when the time appeared in this unique sequence. I believe that was when I went to bed. Of course, I prefer the date format in which the month goes before the day, so there’s gonna be another chance to gawk at this “wonder” in May.
