Sleepover at Ikea - Maybe this is the only way to get to the $1 early enough…
A ramen bath - Japanese spa with special baths resembling instant noodles. I wanna play!
Old age homes for dogs - 1) Old dogs don’t like to be abandoned at strange places. 2) Playing with young puppies will probably cause the older dogs to die faster due to exhaustion.
A remote-controlled pigeon - Oh the poor thing…
An article on a brilliant method of teaching grade schoolers about bats and rabies. I smell a lawsuit.
Will trade beer for Crumpler bags. Tempted by the beanbag and messenger bags…
So before I go off and start playing around with google maps and travel blogging, I figured I should put up my album list. Maintaining the static html page was so much easier. EE templating is awesome as usual, allowing me to format each photo set and linking it back to previous blog articles with ease. No, my problem is the tedious task of inputting the info and links into the system. I gave up adding the links to stuff dating back to my Cali term. There are just way too many photos from that term and from before that.
Did I mention how superior Flickr is to Imagestation? That’s the other reason why I gave up linking back to the old albums: they are all on Imagestation. The interface and everything? Just sucks. I’m tempted to just to back over those old photos, pick out some of the highlights, and stick them all on Flickr. I think I’ll stop paying for Imagestation membership, but it’s like $5 a year. It’s just so hard to let go…
Anyway, I added the photo link to the navigation. I plan to do some funky organization with the geography categories I’m using for the photos, but that’s for later.
Yeah, I’ve tried the GMaps photo album mashup. It’s neat, but tedious to find the long/lat for locations. Flickr’s Map feature is better
I’m not so ambitious as to try and plot the exact location of each of my photos, but having an overview of the travel route from different cities would be nice..
Hopefully I’ll get to look at it in the next web dev cycle.
