I Want Google Maps on my GPS

So my former team lead is heading off to India for a year, and so we got to talking about how useful a GPS is, if they have maps of India.  He mentioned that Google Maps had really detailed maps of the city he was going to.  The last time I checked, Google maps had very little details for place outside North America.  So I was in quite a shock when I tried Hong Kong and saw this.
